Europe´s biggest stage builder partners with The Festival

You remember the super entertaining Fan Miles in Germany during the World Cup 2006? Or the gigantic “Pope Cloud” built for the World Youth Day in Cologne 2005? They were in the news all over the world. And they share one name in the background, STAGECO.

For more than 20 years, the stage designers and builders from Belgium have been a big player in Europe and the world. NFL Super Bowl, Olympic Games in Salt Lake City or a Bruce Springsteen World Tour; the Belgian stage innovators are on top of the list of professional stage building.

In January 2009, STAGECO launched a new business line focusing on the corporate segment. Headquarted in Berlin, STAGECO Business Partners harbors specialists from diverse professional backgrounds like architecture and design who develop concepts for agency and industrial clients. The company can count on the biggest material pool in Europe.

Based on their strong European focus and mega event know-how, STAGECO Business Partners join forces with The Festival and will support the technical planning and realization of up to 44 event modules.


We talked with Marc Matern who is the Public Relations and Sales manager of STAGECO Business partners.

The Festival | Marc, first of all congratulations for your successful launch of the Business Partners line. How was the feedback at the World of Events*?

Marc | Thank you so much! The overall response was amazing. The new brand activated a brisk interest among the professional trade visitors which was primarily caused by the presentation of our enhanced services and capabilities. We are already feeling the increase in requests concerning all our offered services.

The Festival | Emotion, creation and imagination are the main drivers of your venture according to your corporate presentation. Sounds like we have something in common… :))

Marc | This is true. As partner of The Festival we want to arouse and boost emotions among Europeans, impressing them with our constructions and creations. The imagination of our clients, on the other hand, and eventually the optimal exposition of the corporate partners of The Festival is one of our primary goals and part of our vision.

The Festival | ”If you can imagine it, we can build it” is your corporate claim. We really like this one. We can imagine 3 Million Europeans getting together and experiencing a European feeling for the first time together. Can you build it?

Marc | We cannot build the experience itself. People will do. But we actually do not need to do so with such a strong overall concept. Our constructions will build the exciting basis for creating a European feeling. As a matter of fact, we are doing everything possible to make this event an unforgettable experience for every visitor of The Festival.
