French Hip-Hoppers Rue de l’Hagard join the movement

The band in born in 2006 when Eddy Maaroufi (vocals), David Boutherre (bass, vocals), Samuel Guibout (drums), and Achod Papasian (guitar) unite their musical inspiration. When Emmanuel Trouvé (keyboards) joins the four in 2007, they imagine a space of musical and lyrical creation called Rue de l’Hagard.
The music digs into a conscient and modern Hip-Hop while Hedy l’Piaf writes about every day struggle in a dark and symbolic way.
The grooves are tight and organic, revisiting the Hip-Hop classics with a full band. Each song, each text is a new lab for everyone to explore. From French Hip-Hop to psychedelic rock, through funk and jazz music, Rue de l’Hagard develops a new vision of urban music and poetry.
Since 2007 the band regularly plays live in Paris and its suburbs (clubs, festivals), and records his second E.P. entitled Préface at the Studio MidiLive. In 2009, the group gets a much bigger impact on the Paris scene by playing in larger venues (L’Alhambra, Le Réservoir, La Bellevilloise / Club, …) and giving intense, sensitive and powerful performances. // Source: Rue de L’Hagard Management
