When he was 14 years old he participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Today the young man from Buis Les Baronnies (Rhône-Alpes) in France is already a fully-fletched musician who has found his own style.

Our latest member of The Festival Family, Thomas Pontier, is song writer, composer and performer, and he has just produced his first album with the title “le bonheur et tout ce qui pleaure avec”. Of course, he wants to spread the musical word as much as possible, not only in France.

Thomas about his music and The Festival

“I am a French song writer of French tradition. My song texts are full of realism. Together with my great friend Christophe Nurit who plays the accordion we make all the arrangements for the songs. I would say that our music creates a passionate link with the listener beyond any language barrier. When we heard about The Festival we could identify 100% with the idea of connecting people through music and other passion-driven themes. We are excited to be part of it, and we will love to play live there!”

Thomas was so kind to grant us all the possibility to listen to one of his songs in MP3 - Pas Tres Bon Coureur. Special thanks from our side!

  1. I saw Thomas Pontier at the famous scene of the “Chat Noir” in Geneva two months ago. Thomas Pontier is a talented singer, he sing in French but his music (Jazz Manouche sytle) are very pleasant for charm a person who didn’t understand french.

For me, Thomas Pontier will be next revelation of the “chanson française” !
